Mighty Beckers, we’re back on track,
The last couple of days were eventful to say the least, and we’ve learned a lot from your reaction to our last update’s Anime Expo announcements. Thank you for the feedback, support and inquiries, we’re reading and reacting to it all. More on that in a second though, for now let’s focus on July’s development update, and for that I leave you in Director Imaeda’s more than capable hands.
Series Overview:
"Half human, half robot, all Mighty"
In the year 2099, humans have become dependent on robots not just for manual labor but also entertainment. The most powerful robots in the world fight in front of humans in a popular league called the Battle Colosseum.
BECK is a small combat robot made to fight in the Battle Coliseum as a part of the MIGHTY NUMBERS, the strongest robots in the world. But since Beck is the only robot in the world with a human heart, he’s also the only robot that gets scared in combat. The good news is that he also possesses the ability to turn into any other robot. The bad news is that since his emotions are wired to his abilities, he often finds himself malfunctioning in battle.
One day a notorious engineer named DR. BLACKWELL releases a virus that infects every robot in the world…everyone except Beck. Dr. Blackwell remotely controls the infected Mighty Numbers to lead a rebellion to destroy mankind. Beck suddenly becomes the only robot available to stop the Mighty Numbers.
As Beck tries to save the world, he will be joined by CALL, his overly serious robotic sidekick; DR. WHITE, the young but socially inept creator of the Mighty Numbers; and DR. SANDA, the lazy but wise team leader. With each of their help, Beck will learn how to deal with his emotions and become the hero they need him to be.

We’re exploring other backer reward options at the moment, but these are the only rewards we felt comfortable opening up to new funding. It’s a tough balance to strike: keeping the backer-exclusives intact while showing the slacker backers our gratitude for their passion and willingness to contribute. We think we’ve struck that balance just right this time around, and we’ll be doing even more as the campaign continues!

You’ve all my sincere apologies for not having new fanart, etc for a solid month (and a few days). I’d come back to tumblr after that break announced in the last post, but I hadn’t come back to this sideblog.
I won’t bring it into detail, but the reason for that is that I’ve just been trying to deal with personal problems.
I’ll still continue to post official updates from the Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter, but other than that fanart will be on pause until I can pick myself back up. Thanks for understanding, everyone!! (*｀へ´*)ゞ

Greetings to all backers of Mighty No. 9, from Yacht Club Games! For more than a year after our own successful Kickstarter, we’ve been hard at work on our game Shovel Knight, and now it’s finally available! If you haven’t heard of it, Shovel Knight is a love letter to the NES games of our youth, infused with everything we’ve learned about game design since then (not to mention guest compositions by Mighty No. 9’s own Manami Matsumae!). We love everything about the Mighty No. 9 project, so we’re going to do something special. Exclusively for Mighty Beckers, we now reveal a secret code for Shovel Knight! Just enter this at the name entry screen to activate it:

How’s it going, Mighty Beckers?
It’s been a wild month in the gaming industry, and with post-E3 game announcements piling up July is looking to get even wilder! Staff at comcept and Inti Creates are burning the midnight oil to keep up the breakneck pace of our development schedule. Today we have a few fruits of our labors to cap off Mighty June!
